Nathan Burrow is an editor who covers shopping, retail trends, and deals. He has scanned countless sales and discounts. Most underwhelm.

As Wirecutter’s deals editor, it’s my job to be picky about prices. Far too often, Prime Day deals just don’t cut it. In fact, it’s fair to say that many of them stink. That can be especially true on products that hover around the $100 threshold — in fact, many Prime Day sales at this price point are on products that aren't very high quality, or are actually not a great deal at all.

That’s why every year we work to find the best under-$100 deals on products that are actually worth the spend, many with full prices well over the hundred-dollar mark. And because they’re expert-approved Wirecutter picks, they often last as long and perform as well as significantly more expensive options.

Below, we’ve gathered the best Prime Day deals under $100 on some of our favorite Wirecutter picks.

The Igloo IGLICEBSC26, our pick for best countertop ice maker with a more compact form than that of the Magic Chef.

Igloo IGLICEBSC26 Ice Maker — Our Pick
Amazon deal price: $90; street price: $110

What we like: Our pick for the best countertop bullet-ice maker. Makes nine bullet-shaped cubes in under 10 minutes. Smaller, lighter, and easier to stow away than our classic countertop ice maker pick. Clear, straightforward controls. Self-cleaning mode.

Other things to know: Slightly smaller reservoir requires more frequent refills. Like all bullet-ice makers, produces cloudy ice, which doesn't affect taste, but makes carbonated drinks go flat faster. Not very durable. One-year warranty. On sale in black.

Kan Jam Flying Disc Game — Our Pick
Amazon deal price: $29; street price: $39

What we like: One of our favorite offline games to play camping or in the backyard. Brings fun, engaging structure to tossing a Frisbee. One team member attempts to toss the disc in and around a slotted can to score various points, while their partner is allowed to stand near the can to try to bat and redirect the disc as wanted. A thrilling mix of skill and teamwork.

Other things to know: Great for teens to adults. Cans fold flat for easy storage and carry and sets up in seconds.

What we like: Our pick for the best breathable women's underwear with no VPL (visible panty line). Stretchy mid-rise brief. Luxurious, feather-light, buttery fabric. Stays in place. Moisture wicking and quick-dry. A great option for travel or if you tend to get sweaty.

Other things to know: Much more sheer than other styles. Comes in a rainbow of color options (mix and match is allowed with this promo). Add three pairs of underwear to your cart and use code WCAIR (final deal price includes $8 shipping). We occasionally see better prices for limited colors and sizes.

Frontgate Resort Collection Bath Towel — Top Pick
Frontgate deal price: $33; street price: $44

What we like: Our top pick for the best bath towel is the softest, warmest, and most comfortable plush towel we’ve ever tested. It feels like a towel from a luxury hotel and comes in a wider variety of colors than any other we’ve found. It holds up for years and feels fuller and plusher with each wash.

Other things to know: If you know you prefer thinner towels, this isn't the pick for you. Bulkier to store and wash. Use code WCJULY24 for the deal price and free shipping—remove any existing discount code to apply this one for a better price.

What we like: Another good spatial repellent we like for the right price from our guide to the best mosquito control gear for your patio or yard. Just as effective and easy to use as our current top pick. Comes in a few different colors.

Other things to know: Our former top pick. Notably shorter battery life of 5.5 hours, compared to the 9 hours of our current top pick, but a worthwhile tradeoff for the sale price. Rechargeable lithium-ion battery makes the Thermacell more convenient than butane-cartridge options. With clipped on-page coupon.

What we like: Another good set of cheap string lights we like in our smart outdoor lighting guide. Affordably priced and available in a 48-foot set and a 96-foot set. They provide far more special-effects options than our string light pick.

Other things to know: Overwhelming app. The strands have fewer bulbs per foot than our string-lights pick, and they don’t feel as sturdy. Frosted bulbs. Deal is for the 96-foot length; be sure to clip the on-page coupon.

Dreo Fox One Table Fan — Budget Pick
Amazon deal price: $34; street price: $40

What we like: Our budget pick for the best fan. Performed comparably to our top pick. More durable than similarly priced models. Simple design allows for easy cleaning.

Other things to know: Doesn't circulate as much air as our favorite Vornado fan and has a shorter warranty (2.5 vs 5 years). Adjustable 120 degrees with 3 speeds. Deal for the black color. Sadly, a few bucks higher than prices in late 2023.

What we like: Our pick for the best overall reading light. Chic and compact, with the most light settings of all our picks. Power indicator on the front makes it easy to monitor charge. Simple to twist and adjust brightness and light temperature.

Other things to know: Small buttons can be a bit too sensitive when adjusting clip placement. Use code WCPRIME24.

What we like: A service we mention favorably in our piece about the best options for grocery delivery. Instacart employs independent contractors to shop directly at your choice of available retailers. Essentially $20 free if you or someone you know who already uses this delivery service.

Other things to know: Instacart charges a higher premium for delivery fees and doesn't deliver to every zip code. Gift card is email delivery. It is non-returnable and non-refundable. Costco membership required for purchase. Limit of two per member.

SunNordic Kubb Yard Game Set — Gift Pick
Amazon deal price: $40; street price: $50

What we like: An ancient Swedish outdoor game recommended in several Wirecutter gift guides. It’s simple, satisfying, and terrific for groups. All about throwing things at other things, blocks of wood in this case. The best players use strategy to get ahead of opponents.

Other things to know: The rubberwood set comes in a sturdy canvas bag, so it’s easy to take to the park, beach, or nearest frozen pond. Deal for the classic garden grade set.

Vornado 630 Medium Air Circulator Fan — Top Pick
Amazon deal price: $60; street price: $68

What we like: Our top pick for the best fan. Powerful without being too energy consuming. Compact design. Quiet and reliable. Can move a large amount of air throughout a room.

Other things to know: Effective in small- to medium-sized rooms. Five-year warranty. Three speeds. Pet hair can gunk up the grills, but it's easy to clean. We've seen it for less once since 2022, but that was a rare deal.

What we like: A staff favorite glowing accessory to bring trick-or-treating that kids love and can help make them more visible at night. Can be worn as bracelets, necklaces, or whatever else their creative minds come up with.

Other things to know: Comes with 100 glow sticks and 100 connectors in six different neon colors. The glow sticks last about 10 hours.

An Echo Show 5 third generation on a bedside table, showing a person holding coffee on its display screen.
Photo: Amazon

What we like: The newest generation of our smaller Amazon Alexa smart display pick. Ideal for nightstands or bathroom counters. Works via voice commands or touch controls. Plays music, podcasts, weather, and more. Communicates with other smart-home devices. Display auto-dims when you turn out the lights.

Other things to know: Small 5½-inch screen. Not as loud as our main picks. Comes with a camera lens cover for privacy. We've seen it drop just a bit lower before, but not since 2023.

Amazon Echo Dot (5th Gen) — Our Pick
Amazon deal price: $25; street price: $50

What we like: Clear, loud sound in a compact form. Half the price of other Amazon Echo products. Bluetooth and 3.5-mm stereo jack connections. Built-in Eero Wi-Fi can extend an Eero router's mesh network. Good intro to Amazon/Alexa ecosystem.

Other things to know: More expensive Echos offer better audio and call quality. Doesn't make video calls. We are still testing how well the Dot works with an Eero Wi-Fi system.

Amazon Echo Glow Night-Light — Staff Favorite
Amazon deal price: $17; street price: $25

What we like: A staff-favorite smart night-light in our guide to hosting even when you don’t have a guest room. Uses Echo devices to create routines and bedtime countdowns. Emits 16 different colors.

Other things to know: Too dim to use as a reading light. No physical controls (requires Alexa app or Echo device).

Final Fantasy XVI (PS5, Physical Copy) — Staff Favorite
GameStop deal price: $30; street price: $40

What we like: A staff favorite video game that's exclusive to the PS5. A departure from the typical scenes and settings of traditional Final Fantasy games, Square Enix’s newest addition to the series is darker, more emotional, and more Game of Thrones-esque than you might expect. Voice acting and performances are a notable high point.

Other things to know: Gameplay is more active (for better or for worse) than the traditional turn-based style of older Final Fantasy games (if you enjoyed FFXV’s action-oriented combat, you’ll likely be fine with this). New Low. Opt for in-store pickup where available to avoid shipping fees.

What we like: Our cathartic cleaning simulator video game pick. Step into the rubber boots of a new power-wash business owner. Enjoy all the primal joy of blasting off layers of grime with no worries about sunburn or compressor noise.

Other things to know: Involves some problem-solving. First-time post, but not a new game. Available for digital download for Nintendo Switch. Does not actually include any of our pressure washer picks.

What we like: Our recommended pressure gauge for checking the tracking force of your turntable phono cartridge. We found this scale to be accurate and reliable. Also includes two calibration weights so you can make sure it’s accurate, and a storage box.

Other things to know: Correct and accurate tracking force improves the performance and longevity of your records.

Edifier MP230 Bluetooth Speaker — Another Good Option
Amazon deal price: $70; street price: $100

What we like: Another good, small Bluetooth speaker for an office or bedroom. Designed for home use, but functional as a portable speaker due to a rechargeable battery. Full and clear sound. The finish and paddle-style switches give it a stylish retro vibe.

Other things to know: 10-hour battery life unplugged. Not the biggest sound, but plenty loud for a bedroom or office. New low at $70.

Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) — Top Pick
Amazon deal price: $80; street price: $95
Walmart deal price: $80; street price: $95
Best Buy deal price: $80; street price: $95

What we like: Our top pick for the best stylus for drawing on higher-end iPads. Offers best-in-class accuracy and speed. Features pressure sensitivity along with tilt recognition and palm rejection. Charges magnetically through your iPad. Offers a convenient double-tapping feature.

Other things to know: Only compatible with iPads that have USC-C ports (and not the most recent 10th generation iPad); doesn’t work with older iPads.

Zugu Case for 11-Inch iPad Pro — Also Great
Amazon deal price: $48; street price: $60

What we like: Our function over form iPad Pro case pick. Highly protective. Slim, standard folio-style design. Allows Apple Pencil to magnetically stick to side without leaving tablet’s metal edge exposed. More viewing angles than any other iPad Pro case we tested.

Other things to know: Polarizing utilitarian design. Deal available in stealth black.

What we like: Our top pick for best instant photo printer. Ultra-portable and compact. Quickly delivers vibrant, credit-card-sized film-like prints. Easy to set up and use with an intuitive app.

Other things to know: Printer body feels fragile. Prints take 4-6 minutes to fully develop and may lack fine detail and clarity. Uses the same film packs as Fujifilm’s Instax cameras. Recurring deal price.

Joby GorillaPod 1K Kit Smartphone Tripod — Top Pick
Amazon deal price: $23; street price: $35

What we like: Our top pick for the best smartphone tripod. Lightweight and easily adjustable, but still strong enough to handle the heaviest smartphone and some cameras. Stronger and more flexible than any other tripods for the price.

Other things to know: 2.2-pound weight limit. Tripod legs are 10.24 inches from mount to foot, and can also be used to wrap around thick branches or posts for interesting angles.

What we like: Our pick for the best budget batteries from our guide to earthquake preparedness. During an emergency, it’s smart to keep a few disposable batteries on hand. Affordable, reliable. 10-year shelf life (according to the manufacturer).

Other things to know: Pack of 24 batteries. Works for the lantern we recommend in the same guide to earthquake preparedness.

Tomtoc Nintendo Switch Carrying Case — Our Pick
Amazon deal price: $23; street price: $29

What we like: Our simple, structured pick for a Nintendo Switch carrying case. Cushioned hard-shell design is durable and provides excellent protection. Inner main compartment holds 24 game cartridges. Lies flat and has a prop stand so you can play straight out of the case.

Other things to know: Can fit a Pro Controller, extra set of Joy-Cons, and travel charger in addition to your Switch. Too small to replace a day bag. Shell may be too bulky to fit comfortably in a bag or backpack. Not compatible with Switch OLED with grip cover. On sale in multiple colors.

What we like: Our tripod mount pick for smartphones. Rotates for portrait or landscape orientations. Holds any size phone comfortably. Can serve as a stand on its own. Rugged metal mount incorporates cold shoes on top and bottom of the lockable clamp. Easily mounts on any tripod.

Other things to know: About as tall as a deck of playing cards. Most secure of the mounts we tested.

What we like: A pick in our guide to the best gifts for frequent travels (and other gift guides). Compact. USB-C and USB-A outputs. 10,000 mAh capacity. Can juice up most smartphones 2 to 3 times. Rounded edges make it easy to slip into a pocket.

Other things to know: A former top pick in our guide to the best portable chargers. Two-year warranty, with solid customer support. Doesn't match the lowest we've seen, but that was likely a one-off sale. Street price has dropped in recent months.

Logitech Crayon iPad Stylus (USB-C) — Also Great
Amazon deal price: $50; street price: $65

What we like: Our pick for an iPad stylus that is better for note-taking than drawing. A snap to set up, it writes smoothly, and its palm rejection works well. Seven hours of battery life. Plus, it works with every iPad made after 2018.

Other things to know: Lacks pressure sensitivity, which is important for drawing and painting. Charges via USB-C, but doesn't come with a cable.

What we like: Our budget pick for best Android tablet. Surprisingly good for watching videos, reading, or very light web browsing. Best suited to Amazon Prime videos and other Amazon content. USB-C charging (finally).

Other things to know: 64 GB storage. Low-resolution 1280 x 800 screen. Doesn’t have access to the Google Play store or any of Google’s apps. Comes with lock-screen display ads that can be disabled for an extra $15.

What we like: Our pick for the best clear iPhone case. A variant of our favorite basic case from Smartish. Pretty much the same except the back is a hard plastic rather than the more rubber-like TPU. Doesn’t have the rainbow-like prismatic distortion we tend to associate with cheaper transparent cases.

Other things to know: MagSafe compatible. Transparent cases turn yellow despite any number of claims of “anti-yellowing technology.” Deal for all versions of this case: standard iPhone 14, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max. Clip the on-page coupon to get the deal price.

What we like: Our pick for a more protective case for the iPhone 15. Basically the Smartish Gripmunk but slightly thicker. Added air pocket corners offer even greater shock absorption. More deeply recessed finger ridges on either side to create an especially secure grip. MagSafe support is built in.

Other things to know: The larger corners give it a little more bulk, which tends to be the trade-off with a more protective case. Limited colors on sale.

What we like: Our top pick for the best iPad Pro keyboard case. Magnets are strong enough that you can use the case to prop your iPad at three angles. Backlit keys allow you to cycle through colors and brightness levels. Dedicated iPadOS function keys provide quick access to commonly used features, Apple Pencil clasp lets you easily carry the stylus around.

Other things to know: Thicker and heavier than some competitors, but still comfortable to carry and adds extra protection.

Amazon Fire HD 8 Tablet Kids Edition — Budget Pick
Amazon deal price: $70; street price: $120

What we like: Our budget pick for the best tablets for kids. Solid option for watching videos. Durable and more drop-resistant than our top pick. Good parental controls. Two-year warranty.

Other things to know: Worse screen and a much more limited app selection compared to our top pick but a fraction of the price. Deal is for the 32 GB in blue.

What we like: Our budget pick for best Android tablet. Surprisingly good for watching videos, reading, or very light web browsing. Best suited to Amazon Prime videos and other Amazon content. USB-C charging (finally).

Other things to know: Only 32 GB storage. Low-resolution 1280 x 800 screen. Doesn’t have access to the Google Play store or any of Google’s apps. Comes with lock-screen display ads that can be disabled for an extra $15. The 64GB is available for just $5 more.

What we like: Our Lightning cable pick for USB-A ports. Also one of our must-haves for bringing to a vacation rental. MFi-certified. Sturdily built. Comfortable to grip. A good length to reach from a wall outlet to a desk, bedside table, or kitchen countertop without adding unnecessary clutter.

Other things to know: Lifetime warranty. Charges more slowly than our pick for USB-C ports. Needs to be paired with a 12 W power brick to reach top charging speeds. Deal price for the 10-foot size in black.

What we like: Our pick for the best cloth-covered USB-C to Lightning cable. Can charge Lightning-powered devices at top speed. Made of a thick, double-braided Kevlar material that seems less prone to wear or snag than the more common nylon.

Other things to know: Lightning is an obsolete standard, making this cable even less worth splurging on. Five-year warranty. Deal price includes shipping.

What we like: Our pick for the best cheap 10th-gen iPad case. Slim and lightweight TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) case. Offers complete protection with ideal port and speaker cutouts. Includes designated area to hold the Apple Pencil, two viewing angles, and detachable magnetic cover.

Other things to know: Unlike many iPad folio cases, it doesn’t leave the sides exposed. On sale in black.

Tomtoc Defender A42 Laptop Briefcase — Also Great
Amazon deal price: $31; street price: $37

What we like: Our pick for a roomy laptop sleeve with a shoulder strap. Professional and protective, with thickly reinforced corners. Front pockets can hold loose items like pens and keys. Open rear compartment is great for thinner items, like documents or a portable keyboard. Passed our water-resistance tests with flying colors.

Other things to know: Bulkier than plain sleeves; meant to be used on its own rather than slipped into another bag. Runs tight, so you may want to size up. Deal price listed is for a 14-inch MacBook size in black, but it's on sale in many sizes and color options.

Zhiyun Smooth Q4 Gimbal — Budget Pick
Amazon deal price: $84; street price: $100

What we like: Our budget gimbal pick for both Android and iPhones. Larger and not quite as easy to use as our top pick, but performs similarly as well. Built-in extendable selfie stick. Long battery life. Good app. Great battery life.

Other things to know: Its subject tracking is okay, but not as good as that of our other picks. Comes with a removable tripod and a charging cable. One-year warranty.

What we like: Our fabric Kindle case pick that comes in more colors. A great choice for someone who wants high quality in a few more colors. Textile cover looks tidy and adds a brushed-wool texture to retain a bit of whimsy. Strong magnets hold cover in place when it’s folded back to read

Other things to know: Fabric weave may collect dust and dirt, though darker colors don’t show grime quite as much. Only on sale in black.

What we like: Our pick for the best basic iPhone 14 case. A great slim, protective, and affordable case. MagSafe compatible. Has enough give to make it easy to install on your phone but not so much that it will stretch out. Wirecutter-recommended since the iPhone 7.

Other things to know: Though the Gripmunk case checks all the boxes, it’s plain. Deal includes most solid colors for all versions of this case: standard iPhone 14, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max. Lowest price is on the transparent color.

Apple AirTag Bluetooth Tracker — Our Pick
Amazon deal price: $24; street price: $29
Walmart deal price: $24; street price: $29
Best Buy deal price: $75; street price: $100

What we like: Our pick for the best Bluetooth tracker for iPhone users. Impressively accurate in pinpointing an item’s precise location. Leverages Apple’s extensive Find My network. Can swap in a new battery as needed. Water-resistant.

Other things to know: Doesn’t have any way to ring your phone. Cannot attach to your stuff directly. Cannot be shared with another person. Sales on four-packs typically offer the best price per tracker. This deal matches the lowest price we've seen to date.

Tile Mate Bluetooth Tracker (2022) — Our Pick
Amazon deal price: $18; street price: $25

What we like: Our Bluetooth tracker pick for Android users. Large, anonymous crowd-finding network. Loud alarm volume. Impressive local Bluetooth range. Simple setup. Built-in keychain loop. Can remotely trigger a lost phone to ring.

Other things to know: No replaceable battery (Tile promises a 3-year effective working lifespan). Worse short-range precision than Apple AirTags. Not the best price we've seen for a single Tile Mate, but still a solid deal.

Panasonic KX-TGD832M Cordless Phone — Top Pick
Amazon deal price: $45; street price: $59

What we like: The overall best cordless phone for most people. Sounds better, has useful features than similarly priced models. In our tests, kept a call connected up to about 360 feet from base. Battery lasted about three days off-charger.

Other things to know: Having a “house phone” can be extremely useful in an emergency, in homes with poor cell reception, and in plenty of other situations. You can't route your cell phone calls through this one, though. Answering machine included.

The Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 3, our pick for best Bluetooth speaker.
Photo: Michael Hession

What we like: Our top portable Bluetooth speaker pick (for now). Longer Bluetooth range (130 feet) than previous generations. 11-hour battery life in our tests. IP67 water-resistance rating. Dust-proof. Can survive a 5-foot drop onto concrete. Floats.

Other things to know: Still uses a Micro-USB for charging. Only minor upgrades from the Wonderboom 2, and visually much the same. Can pair two speakers for stereo sound. The Wonderboom 4, which adds USB-C charging, was recently released. We have tested it and will be making it our top pick.

Shokz OpenRun Headphones — Our Pick
Best Buy deal price: $90; street price: $130

What we like: Our pick for the best headphones for runners who don’t like earbuds. Bone-conduction headphones transmit music directly to the inner ear, leaving the ear canal open. Solid, lightweight build with IP67 waterproof rating. Easy-to-access controls. Clear vocal range.

Other things to know: Must crank up the volume high to hear lots of bass or deep tones, which causes the temple pads to vibrate and tickle. Two-year warranty. Proprietary charging cable.

Victrola Rock Speaker Connect — Our Pick
Amazon deal price: $76; street price: $100

What we like: Our pick for a rock-shaped outdoor speaker for casual listening. Powered by batteries and Bluetooth, it's simple to set up—no wires, cables or screwdrivers required—and sounds good. You can wirelessly connect as many as 20 to make a larger system. Doesn't vibrate or rattle like some other options.

Other things to know: Batteries recharge via USB or a solar panel on top. IP54 rating means it should be fine in the rain (but don't blast it with a hose). Several style options/colors on sale.

Anker Soundcore Space A40 Earbuds — Top Pick
Amazon deal price: $49; street price: $60

What we like: Our top pick for best wireless Bluetooth earbuds. Solid sound quality, great battery life, and active noise cancellation. Each earbud can be used independently. Dual-device connectivity. Should fit most ears comfortably.

Other things to know: Does not support voice-activated assistants like Alexa and Siri. IPX4 water-resistance. 18-month warranty. Limited touch controls. Only the black color is down to $49.

Soundcore Motion 300 Bluetooth Speaker — Runner-Up
Amazon deal price: $60; street price: $80

What we like: Our runner-up pick for best portable Bluetooth speaker. Good sound quality comparable to our top pick, but with an emphasis on instruments over vocals. Includes IPX7 waterproofing and 12 hours of battery life during our tests. USB-C charging.

Other things to know: Larger than our top pick, but slimmer. Not as ruggedly built as our top pick. Bluetooth range is shorter than we'd like (60 feet during tests) which is adequate but not impressive these days.

What we like: Our runner-up pick for best portable Bluetooth speaker. Good sound quality comparable to our top pick, but with an emphasis on instruments over vocals. Includes IPX7 waterproofing and 12 hours of battery life during our tests. USB-C charging.

Other things to know: Larger but slimmer than our top pick and not as ruggedly built. Bluetooth range is shorter than we'd like (60 feet during tests). Certified refurbished with two-year Allstate warranty. Sold through Anker's eBay storefront. Use code SUNNYSAVINGS.

Shokz OpenRun Headphones — Our Pick
Amazon deal price: $90; street price: $130
Walmart deal price: $90; street price: $130

Other things to know: Must crank up the volume high to hear lots of bass or deep tones, which causes the temple pads to vibrate and tickle. Two-year warranty. Proprietary charging cable.

What we like: Our sound-masking pick for the best sleep headphones. They physically block out noises and can play preloaded sounds or stream audio from your phone. Smaller and far thinner than most true wireless earbuds, but stay in place securely.

Other things to know: May be uncomfortable for side-sleepers with sensitive ears. We found the sound of the built-in alarm a little grating. No snooze button. Certified refurbished model sold through Anker's eBay storefront. Two-year Allstate warranty. Use code SUNNYSAVINGS.

Tribit MoveBuds H1 Wireless Earbuds — Also Great
Amazon deal price: $63; street price: $90

What we like: Our pick for the best workout headphones if you need extra-long battery life. 15-hour battery life is superlative for true wireless earbuds. Charging case provides an additional 35 hours of power. Offers a high IPX8 water-resistance rating and a hear-through mode.

Other things to know: Lacks the active noise cancellation and voice-activation capabilities of our pricier picks. Sound is decent out of the box, but we were happiest after adjusting the EQ in the Tribit app. Includes six different sizes of ear tips. Clip the on-page coupon to get the deal.

What we like: The refurbished model of our budget pick for the best over-ear noise-cancelling headphones. Impressive noise cancellation and good sound for under $100. Comfortable and lightweight. 40-hour battery life with ANC on. Offers dual-device connectivity, hear-through mode, and quick-charge feature.

Other things to know: Noise-reducing microphones can make voices sound compressed and somewhat distant. Physical control button layout makes sense, but they're small and take some getting used to. Customizable sound via Soundcore app. Two-year Allstate warranty. Use code SUNNYSAVINGS.

What we like: Our pick for the best cheap wired earbuds. Excellent sound quality for the price. Feels sturdy. Has a three-button remote and mic on the cable.

Other things to know: Comes in both a microphone and non-microphone version, but this deal is for the model with a mic. Lacks waterproof rating. One-year warranty. Recurring deal price.

EarFun Free 2S Earbuds — Budget Pick
Amazon deal price: $23; street price: $40

What we like: Our budget wireless Bluetooth earbuds pick, and the best sub-$50 earbuds we've tried. Impressive sound and features for the price. IPX7 dust- and water-resistance rating. Quality of background-noise-reducing microphones rivals those of more expensive models.

Other things to know: Lack active noise cancellation and hear-through mode. Sound quality isn't as balanced as that of our top pick. Use code EAFRE2SF to get deal. We recently saw a $16 lightning deal for these earbuds, but we doubt they'll drop that low again.

JLab JBuddies Play Kids Headphones — Our Pick
Lenovo deal price: $25; street price: $40

What we like: Our pick for the best kids headphones for school and gaming. Retractable boom mic. Very good sound quality, especially for under-$50 headphones. 22 hours of battery life. Lightweight, flexible design. Sized to fit kids between the ages of 4 and 11.

Other things to know: Doesn’t feel as substantial as our other picks do. Limited two-year warranty. Use code JLABSUMMER.

Other things to know: Would be a pick if they were more friendly to small ears. Chunky, with no additional stabilization. Comes with a two-year warranty.

Amazon deal price: $40; street price: $50

What we like: Our top pick for the best gaming mouse. Comfortable for most hand sizes and grip types. Plenty of well-placed, responsive buttons. Customizable RGB underglow lighting. Optical switches avoid the double-click issue mechanical switches can have.

Other things to know: Buttons are easy to press on purpose but hard to click by accident. Ability to toggle between ratcheted and smooth scrolling. Razer’s Synapse 3 software doesn’t work on macOS. Textured plastic can feel cheap.

Keychron V3 Mechanical Keyboard — Budget Pick

Other things to know: Not as good for gaming or higher resolution since it doesn't support HDMI 2.1, is limited to 60 Hz refresh rate.

What we like: Our budget pick for the best Wi-Fi router. Good speed and reliable for smaller homes or fewer devices. Outperformed routers that cost three times the price.

Other things to know: Performs better at a close range, and is noticeably slower at longer ranges. Compatible with TP-Link OneMesh extenders, but is not as flexible as mesh-networking kits.

What we like: Our budget pick for best Wi-Fi mesh-networking kit. Outperformed some more expensive mesh networks. We believe it would work well with up to 50 devices on the network, and if you have 500 Mbps internet service or slower. Easy to set up and administer.

Other things to know: Fewer features than pricier models. Lacks WPA3 security. Only has two Ethernet ports per node. If you have an internet plan faster than 500 Mbps, the Deco S4 might limit speeds in some situations.

What we like: Another good mechanical keyboard if you want a budget option with better aesthetics. Compared with our budget pick, it has higher-quality PBT keycaps and looks nicer. Comes with keycaps for Windows and macOS.

Other things to know: Only has white backlight and lacks hot-swap. Only available with red or brown switches. If you’re willing to spend more for RGB or hot-swap, you’re better off with our top picks instead.

What we like: Our budget compact mechanical keyboard pick. Feels better to type on than any other cheap mechanical keyboard we tested. Comes with keycaps for Windows and Mac, and can connect to up to three devices via Bluetooth. Has replaceable ABS keycaps.

Other things to know: The thinner ABS keycaps and non-lubricated stabilizers feel and sound cheaper, and will wear out sooner. Included USB cable is too short for some desks. Is not fully programmable.

Other things to know: On the smaller side. The polyester on the outside makes it look a bit like a toiletry bag, but it repelled water adequately in our tests with only a few droplets seeped through the top zipper of the main compartment. Deal for the black color.

Amazon deal price: 90; street price: $130

What we like: Another good cold brew coffee maker if you don't like the long wait. Uses vacuum technology. Can prepare cold-brew coffee in 20 minutes or less. We enjoyed its coffee, which had the smoothness, low acidity, and low bitterness that we expect from cold brew. Can accommodate a fairly high ratio of coffee to water, for those who’d prefer to make a cold-brew concentrate.

Other things to know: Coffee was similar enough to that made in our top pick, though not as strong and with slightly less clarity of flavor. Expensive; typically more than double the price of our top pick.

What we like: Our pick for the best microwavable popcorn bowl. Incredibly simple to use and easy to clean, and it folds down for more-efficient storage. Doesn't need oil, but you can add some if you’d like (in our experience, you’ll get slightly better results).

AmazonBasics Stainless Steel Pet Bowl — Our Pick
Amazon deal price: $8; street price: $12

What we like: Our pick for a big water dish from our guide to adopting a new cat checklist. Non-skid bottom. Dishwasher-safe. Called a dog bowl on the listing, but it also works great for cats.

Other things to know: 38 oz capacity. First time post, not a new pick.

What we like: Our top pick for the best dog poop bag. Low-cost. Easy to use. Strong and thick enough to be reassuring and not let you feel what you’re picking up too closely. Comes in huge quantities.

Other things to know: Comes with a plastic dispenser and leash clip. Can be a little tricky to open. They’re not even slightly eco-friendly. Deal for 60 rolls of 15 bags.

What we like: Our budget flea and tick collar pick for cats. Repels and kills fleas and ticks for up to eight months. Less expensive than our other picks, and it can be used on kittens who are at least 10 weeks old.

Other things to know: The collar’s ingredients stay only on the surface of your cat’s skin and hair, meaning it won’t prevent heartworm, hookworm, and roundworm. Some cats may experience side effects of redness or inflammation near the collar.

Potaroma Flopping Fish Toy — Gift Pick
Amazon deal price: $10; street price: $13

What we like: A rechargeable motorized fish toy recommended in our guide to the best gifts for cats (and the humans they tolerate). Built-in motor has a motion sensor; as soon as you touch it, the fish wiggles around. Comes with a little bag of catnip.

Other things to know: Too rough for clothes and bedding. Street price has dropped recently. Lightning deal.

Other things to know: Pets with smooth, short coats, like boxers, can be brushed weekly.

What we like: Our budget flea and tick collar pick for cats. Repels and kills fleas and ticks for up to eight months. Less expensive than our other picks, and it can be used on kittens who are at least 10 weeks old.

Other things to know: The collar’s ingredients stay only on the surface of your cat’s skin and hair, so it won’t protect from heartworm, hookworm, and roundworm. Some cats may experience side effects of redness or inflammation near the collar.

Little Partners 3-in-1 Growing Step Stool — Our Pick
Walmart deal price: $100; street price: $120

What we like: Our pick for a sturdy step stool for kids to use in the kitchen. Grows with your kid and can be handy in preteen years. Comes with nonslip stickers for the steps to prevent socked feet from slipping on the wood.

Other things to know:  Not fully enclosed, so you may need to hover or stay close by when younger children use it. Natural-wood finish can get worn with time, but that isn't a dealbreaker for us.

What we like: One of our favorite sun hats for kids. Very similar to our Sunday Afternoons sun hat favorite but generally about two-thirds the price. UPF 50+ sun protection.

Other things to know: Persuading kids to put on a sun hat can often been a battle. All colors on sale.

Boppy Best Latch Nursing Pillow — Our Pick
Amazon deal price: $40; street price: $50

What we like: Our upcoming new best nursing pillow pick for first-time parents.  Impressed our testing panel with its versatility. What we like: Our top pick for the best colored pencils. The range and vibrancy of colors in this set were among the best in our test group. Great quality for the price and satisfying to work with. Easy to sharpen and they come in a durable metal box.

Other things to know: May not be right for those who prefer harder lead. The deeper box with two stacked smaller trays makes it impossible to see and reach all of your pencils at one time unless you remove a tray, and the trays themselves are made from a flimsy plastic. Street price has risen dramatically this year.

What we like: A staff-favorite booger beater in our baby care essentials guide. The most useful tool we've tried for de-gunking stuffed noses and relieving congestion. "It’s essentially a straw that has a filter inside so the mucus you extract from your infant or toddler doesn’t pass through to your mouth."

Other things to know: May be too gross for some, but much more effective than suction bulbs other staffers have tried. Comes with 24 filters (typically only four are included).

Skip Hop Moby Waterfall Rinser — Staff Favorite
Amazon deal price: $8; street price: $10

Other things to know: Matches the best price we've seen in the past couple years.

Koala Babycare Koala Cuddle Band — Top Pick
Amazon deal price: $36; street price: $41

What we like: Our top pick hybrid baby sling. A stretchy wrap with a T-shirt-like design that you slip over your head. Size can adjust to wearer, so it can be shared. Holds babies up to 20 pounds. Has a front pouch to store a diaper, wipes or a wallet.

Other things to know: Street price went up in February, but this is still a good deal. The fabric doesn't stretch over shoulders easily and the rings can be awkward to reach.

Momcozy S9 Pro Wearable Breast Pump — Budget Pick
Babylist deal price: $96; street price: $120

What we like: Our budget wearable breast pump pick. A great option if you’re willing to forego some perks, such as an app or timer. Once the pumps are fitted correctly, the suction is incredibly efficient. Flange made from food-grade silicone is surprisingly comfortable.

Other things to know: Fit, while comfortable, is awkward-looking. Parts feel cheaper to the touch, and there’s no app. The battery life doesn’t match the promise of six to nine pumping sessions, or 180 minutes. Recurring deal price.

What we like: Our upcoming top pick for the best electric toothbrush for kids. This quiet, vibrating brush has a smaller brush head and handle, and comes with a two-minute timer that shuts off the brush automatically, a long-lasting battery, and an interactive app which may be encouraging to some kids.

Other things to know: Some kids find vibrating brushes to be uncomfortable or ticklish. If your child tends to brush roughly, the brush heads may need to be replaced more frequently. No case; protective cap is easy to lose. Brush heads typically cost about $6 each, so this bundle on sale is a great value.

What we like: Our diaper bag pick for parents with multiple kids. Main compartment zips open wide and stays open for easy access. One of the lighter bags we tested. Doesn't feel clunky despite its large capacity.

Other things to know: Unpadded shoulder straps will dig in if you carry this bag for too long. Polyester exterior and interior. Deal price is for the bag in black.

Other things to know: Can leak if the spout is in the wrong position. Valve may not survive heavy chewing. Several styles available at the deal price.

What we like: A no-nonsense, fragrance-free facial cleanser pick in our guide to preparing a kid for puberty. A favorite among dermatologists, it's foamier than our other pick, which some people may prefer. Easy to wash off; doesn't leave skin tight or tingly. Can be used on the body too.

Other things to know: Some tweens and teens with acne may ultimately need a medicated cleanser, but dermatologists told us they should get into the habit of washing their face nightly with a gentle one. This deal for the 19-ounce bottle is currently cheaper than the smaller bottles.

Haba Bubble Bath Whisk — Our Pick
Amazon deal price: $10; street price: $12

What we like: A pick in our guide to the best bath toys. Stirs up good, clean mischief. Roughly 10-inch-tall plastic gadget that works like a rotary egg beater. Dishes out an instant lesson in cause and effect—and a whirlpool of sloshing waves. The pure glee this whisk elicits is (usually) worth the potential mess.

Other things to know: If the whisk is used too exuberantly or too close to the edge of the tub, the situation can get out of hand pretty fast. Can also be used in the play kitchen.

What we like: The best emergency-bag baby wipes from our emergency preparedness supplies guide. We like these wipes because they're cheap, durable enough for cleaning up messes, and effective for freshening up when you have limited water supply.

Other things to know: Some Amazon reviewers report that these aren’t the softest baby wipes, but that actually makes them a better fit in an emergency situation, considering the harder cleaning tasks you might encounter. Deal price is for a 786-count package.

What we like: Dissolve for about five minutes. Release an ample amount of fizz. Come in six pleasantly sweet, fruity scents. The toys aren't anything special, but the surprise element is fun.

Other things to know: Kids had a hard time prying open the plastic balls the toys come in. Six bath bombs included in the Valentine-themed box.

Amazon deal price: $80; street price: $100

What we like: Our top pick for the best umbrella stroller offers all the essential features you might want including a convenient fold, an easy-to-recline seat, a simple buckle, a large and accessible storage basket, and a shoulder strap for carrying. Lightweight enough to carry around easily but still sturdy enough to feel solid on long outings.

Other things to know: Solid add-ons, like a thick canopy, rear brakes, and an easy-to-use push handle. A bit heavier than our top pick, so slightly more difficult for a child to maneuver. Make sure to clip the on-page coupon, the blue tricycle is available for a few bucks more.

What we like: A fun and beautiful gift we love and feature in multiple gift guides. This light catcher affixes to the window via a surprisingly reliable suction cup. Solar-powered motor rotates the dangling prism to refract light.

Other things to know: It's easy to slide off your window if it's a distraction.

D.S. & Durga Pasta Water Candle — Our Pick
Huckberry deal price: $57; street price: $70

What we like: One of our favorite unique scented candles. Off-menu umami scent is strange but satisfying—a fascinating savory-and-salty smell. Inspired by the subtle aroma of pouring boiling water over semolina flour while tinkering in the kitchen. Long-lasting.

Other things to know: Scent divided our testers; they either loved it or hated it. Wicks on some of the candles we received were slightly off-center. Doesn't come with a lid, which is disappointing considering the price. Deal price includes $5 shipping.

What we like: Another good essential oil diffuser that is nearly identical to our runner-up pick. Produces strong, rich streams of mist. 500 ml tank is bigger than that of our top pick and allows diffuser to run for up to 16 hours on low-output mode. Lights up in seven colors.

Other things to know: Performs exactly the same as our runner-up pick but faux-wood finish is polarizing. Takes up more space than our top pick. Lid doesn’t snap onto the base, which could be a good or bad thing depending on the person. Use code ASKROCK15 to get the deal on the color A-yellow.

Home Depot HDX Tough Storage Tote (27-Gallon) — Our Pick
Home Depot deal price: $10; street price: $12

What we like: The best cheap storage containers for garages and basements. Works well for storing gear in temperate climates. Readily available at Home Depot stores and online. Easy to stack. Come in a wide range of sizes.

Other things to know: Not tough enough for extreme cold temperatures. Breaks more easily when dropped. Opt for store pickup to avoid shipping fees. Deal is for the 27-gallon size.

What we like: Our top pick for the best folding table. Easier to set up and take down than any other we tried. Foldable design makes it more compact to store than one-piece tabletops. Legs are set wide and sturdier than those on many other models.

Other things to know: Street price rose drastically in 2021, but this is the best deal we've seen on it since 2022. No center-folding option we tested was completely flush.

What we like: Another good option in our scented candle guide if you like well-balanced and sophisticated fragrances and are partial to a wooden wick. Soy-based wax. 9-ounce capacity. A whopping 57-hour calculated burn time. We like the tight seal and look of their wooden lids.

Other things to know: Many of our comparably priced picks are more attractive with more complex scents. Glass vessel isn't very durable. Backed by Target’s one-year return policy. Select store pickup to avoid shipping fees. Circle Card holders get free shipping and an extra 5% off.

Other things to know: Lids can be annoying to remove when refilling or cleaning the unit. Smaller 70 mL tank and less powerful mist than our top pick. Only runs for three hours on a single fill. Deal price is for black at West Elm; use promo code EXTRA20 to get the deal price (shipping is free).

DreamSky Compact Digital Alarm Clock — Our Pick
Amazon deal price: $14; street price: $16

What we like: Our affordable, easy-to-read digital alarm clock pick. Largest numerical display of all the options we tested. Intuitive to set the time, with clearly labeled buttons. Two USB ports to charge most mobile devices and to power the clock.

Other things to know: Two backup AAA batteries only maintain time and alarm settings during power outages. DreamSky logo emblazoned at the top (underneath the snooze button) is downright ugly. Down to $14 for the black case with white digits, and the RGB-white and RGB-black designs.

What we like: One of our warm, woodsy scented candle picks that we also like as a Galentine's Day gift. Handsome black glass jar. Earthy and elegant fragrance isn't overpowering. Top note of Japanese cypress (hinoki) smoke with hints of warm amber, sweet vanilla, florals, and fresh moss.

Other things to know: Our testers found this ultra-popular pick lives up to the hype. No lid. 20-hour burn time. Label may be crooked. Glossy vessel may show fingerprints. Not the lowest price we've seen, but street price has gone up by $10 since last year.

What we like: Our budget pick for the best memory foam pillow. Also our favorite one-piece foam pillow. Offered some of the best neck and shoulder support without overheating our testers. The lightest of our picks. Could be a better choice if you often find memory foam too stiff and lofty.

Other things to know: Super-smooth paper isn’t for everyone, especially those expecting a traditional paper feel of typical composition notebooks. No ribbon page marker. Small index on the first page, but pages aren’t numbered. Deal is for line-ruled notebook.

What we like: Our pick for an inexpensive rollerball pen that writes with dark, precise lines. Great for fine lettering or drawing. The least expensive pen we recommend, on a per-pen basis. Some experts—and most of our testers—preferred this pen’s finer point compared with other rollerballs’ points.

Other things to know: Rollerball style with 0.5 mm tip width. Dries slower than our other picks, so not the best choice for lefties. Deal for a multi-color pack of five pens with "Deco" styling.

What we like: Our pick for the best fineliners. Writes smoothly and predictably without skipping, feathering, or bleeding. Its pigment-based ink is fade-, water-, and chemical-resistant. Offers pleasant feedback when writing on typical paper. Barrel was the most comfortable to hold.

Other things to know: The only pen we recommend that is disposable and not refillable. The pen labeling can be confusing because the printed labels don’t match up with the pens’ tip sizes. Deal for a pack of six pens with assorted tip sizes.

What we like: Our pick for a smudge-free gel pen with many color and tip-size options. Produces dark, crisp lines. Available in a wide range of colors and tip sizes to suit various preferences. Wrote smoothly—never skipping or smudging—and its needle-point tip was as precise as that of the Pilot Precise V5 RT.

Other things to know: Not the lowest price we've seen. Slightly thicker barrel and grip than our other picks. Deal is for a pack of five assorted colors.
