Though there may be video game characters who are taller, stronger, or better at dealing with mushroom-based threats, the mustachioed man of the moment remains one of the most iconic characters in all of video game history. And whether it’s fate or destiny, providence saw fit to give us a day where we can appropriately celebrate Mario’s glory: March 10, or MAR10.  What better way to celebrate the portly plumber than to share all of the deals we’ve found on our favorite Mario games and Nintendo Switch accessories?

What we like: As the quintessential Mario party game, Mario Party Superstars is a strong return to the Mario Party series after some lackluster entries (looking at you Mario Party 9, 10, and Super Mario Party). It’s a love letter to the series that includes minigames and boards from the classics, while still incorporating new ideas and better polish.

Other things to know: Plays one to four people with intuitive controls and tons of minigames. Unlike Super Mario Party, Superstars has a real online play (including classic mode). Digital code means there’s no waiting for shipping. The only major drawback is a limited number of boards to choose from.

The game Yoshi’s Crafted World (Nintendo Switch).

What we like: While Mario might get all the glory, he wouldn’t be anywhere without his favorite green companion: Yoshi. As the star of his own cute and family-friendly adventure, Yoshi’s Crafted World is a fun game with a gentle difficulty slope, making it a good game for the whole family. And have we mentioned how cute everything is?

Other things to know: Includes a “Mellow Mode” for an even easier, kid-friendly experience. Deal is available for both physical cartridge and digital code. Target RedCard holders save an extra 5%.

The game Luigi’s Mansion 3 (Nintendo Switch).

What we like: Although Luigi is the less-popular brother, Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a strong addition to the world of Mario games, and it surprised us with how much fun we had busting ghosts in a haunted hotel. And since there’s a couch co-op mode, it’s a great game for kids and adults to play together.

Other things to know: Available for digital download or physical purchase, although the physical cartridge will have delayed shipping. Has a two-player co-op mode for the story, or up to eight players in the “ScareScraper” multiplayer mode. This is the lowest price we’ve seen since Black Friday.

The game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge (Nintendo Switch).

What we like: While it may not seem related, Mario has kicked too many Koopa shells to go unnoticed by their Ninja Turtle cousins. As a fantastic modernization of the classic arcade game from the late ’80s–early ’90s, Shredder’s Revenge is a ton of nostalgic fun with none of the arcade frustrations. And as a bonus, it features some of the most seamless co-op gameplay on any console.

Other things to know: Digital version for the Nintendo Switch. One to six players local or online multiplayer. Does not feature Mario.

What we like: If you’re interested in downloading games for your Nintendo Switch, you’ll need a solid microSD card. Though it’s not quite as fast as our top picks, this budget-minded microSD card is good enough and cheap enough for most people.

Other things to know: Passed the same performance tests as our top picks but is a few MB/s slower, particularly at the write tests. On the smaller side for total storage but should last you a while, since most Switch games tend to be smaller as well.
