Four precision sensors and proprietary step-on technology ensure instant and accurate measurements in 0.2 lb. or 0.1 kg increments. Once your weight has been taken, the digital scale will beep three times and hold your reading on the bright blue 3-inch x 1.25-inch LCD, allowing extra time to step off the scale and view your weight without rushing. After several seconds, the scale’s auto-off feature will activate to power off the scale and conserve battery power.

This review is for the Eat Smart Precision 550 Pound Extra-High Capacity Digital Bathroom Scale.
Oh my gosh, don't even waste your time looking anywhere else. I bought this in May 2024 for $41 and I am thrilled with it. It was very easy to set up.
I weigh around 280 lbs. I'm tired of getting on scales and leaning forward to see the results over my boobs and then my heels come up and the weight changes. Aaargh! This scale is a great size so both of your feet easily fit on the platform. Once it detects your weight, it beeps and the weight lights up and stays there long enough for you to see.
No tapping on the scale. You walk up and step on the scale and wait for the beep. It's very accurate (compared to a couple doctor's offices). The lit up numbers are large and very easy to see.
Before it arrived I worried it might be too big to fit, but it's only a couple inches larger than standard scales. No big deal. I got the silver; it looks so nice and it's surprisingly easy to keep clean.
My husband loves it, too. I highly recommend this to everyone.

I love this scale. No matter how many times you step on it, you will get the same results. Some scales give you a different reading almost every time. I love the low profile to the ground and the very large platform to step on. The numbers are really easy to read and the beep is loud enough to get your attention but not obnoxiously so. Very sleek looking and will look great anywhere. It is a larger, but thin, scale so just make sure you have room for it. I got two so I would have one upstairs and downstairs. It is great for people with certain disabilities or for seniors because it is only about an inch off the ground and has a generous-sized platform. It also weighs up to 550 pounds. Great purchase!

I am nowhere near the maximum weight for this scale but wanted one with a larger platform since I am a senior and unsteady on my feet. I didn't feel secure on my old scale since it had a plastic base and was lightweight so when stepping up onto it sometimes would tip until both feet were in place, plus the display didn't light up anymore even with new batteries. I have never heard of this brand and was skeptical on the reliability but didn't want a glass top scale due to safety risks. When I saw this scale I was pleased with the reviews I read, so I decided to give it a try. It was delivered the same day I ordered it...BIG perk for me. It was easy to set up as it was already calibrated to "lbs" instead of "kg" from factory. I inserted the batteries (yes, found taped to the box), tapped to calibrate, and it was ready to use within minutes. It was within a pound of my old scale reading so I found a good starting point to continue with my weight loss program. I have not found any option for downloading an APP nor do I wish to have one. Also, after stepping on the scale and the final weight reading is displayed, it flashes 3 times but never does beep. If that means my scale is defective, I certainly don't miss the beeping and will continue with it as it is. I basically wanted an affordable digital readout scale with a backlight and a larger platform (not glass) that is both sturdy and aesthetically designed to be left out in the room, and this scale fits my list. I highly recommend.

I have balance issues and the larger width of this scale is so helpful. I use it daily and the readings are consistent. The digital readout is large and bright and easy to see.
The instruction book describes the included batteries as "trial" batteries, whatever that means, so I did not use them and instead installed a better known brand.
I am very happy with this scale and recommend it.

This is a great scale in so many ways. BUT... it has not been accurate for me.
The scale is sturdy and wide. Very easy to step on and off if you have a wide stance and are a bit unsteady. The screen is bright and easy to read. Your weight sets within seconds after stepping on the scale so no need to balance motionless for an uncomfortable amount of time while the device selects a number. A loud beep sequence sounds off once the weight is set so those of us who can't see our feet without bending way over can step off the scale and comfortably view the steady reading. The number holds on the screen for a minute or so giving plenty of time to log it, if charting your weight. For these reasons, I love this scale and give it 5+++ stars. Those are fantastic features for the very obese or disabled person working on improving their health.
The scale has been consistent the past 14 months I've had it. No major fluctuations between weigh-ins (unless there are obvious major fluctuations in my body mass, of course.) However, the scale consistently weighs me roughly 35 pds shy of my actual weight. Currently, I should be coming in around 450 but the scale says 415. The scale tested accurately when I stepped on it holding a 20 pd bag of dog food (my weight increased by 20 pds) so points for consistency.
I'm beginning a keto WOE this week and decided to purchase another scale for accuracy. However, none of the other scales offered have the other features I love about this scale. This scale has been precise with consistency so for the time being, I'll stick with it and add 35 pds to each weigh in.

I love this scale and so does my wife. We are not small people but working on improving our lives. This has a large read out so it is easy to read. It does beep when it settles on the weight. I don't mind it but if I did, I could put tape over it to quiet it down. It is larger than a standard scale so it works better for us to step on. I would highly recommend it.

Some comments say the batteries are not included - they are. In the manual it says where the batteries are located in the packaging. Scale is sturdy, I am 6'1 and until I got the scale, hadn't weighed myself in many years - last time I checked, I was 420lbs and wanted the extra "room" in case I was heavier.

The platform is wide - much wider than a usual scale. Personally, I'd like it maybe an inch wider on either side. I do need to squish my legs together a pit to be centered on the scale, but, it's comfortable enough and I don't feel like I contorting to stand on it.

Looks nice and the screen is bright and easy to read. Even has a decimal point for a bit more info, i.e. 431.6lbs.

I recommend reading the short manual - that's how I found out the batteries were taped to the cardboard packaging because I didn't notice them at first. There is also a note about calibration - turn it on, it will say C on the display, read zero's and then turn off. Then you can stand on it again and get a reading. You only need to do this when you swap batteries or move it to a new location/change in flooring.

Does everything the item description says and I would recommend to others
