Area Description:

The Bay of Islands and inshore waters from Cape Brett to the Poor Knights Islands to Bream Head.

Situation:

A front moves north across New Zealand today, then a ridge of high pressure starts building from the south early on Wednesday before a new weak front arrives in the far south late evening. The ridge moves slowly northeast across New Zealand during Thursday and Friday while weakening, then another front affects the South Island on Friday.

Tuesday: Northwest 10 knots, rising to 20 knots this morning. Easing to westerly 10 knots this afternoon. Sea becoming moderate for a time this morning and afternoon. Early low cloud or fog clearing, then fair visibility in scattered afternoon and evening showers. Northeast swell 1 to 1.5 metres.
