UPDATED:

Singer-songwriter and actress Miley Cyrus came out swinging as she performed her now award-winning hit “Flowers” during the 66th annual Grammy Awards at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 4.

First of all, she looked stunning in her slinky dress and big, and we mean really big, hair, possibly modeled after her godmother Dolly Parton’s iconic big ‘do. Earlier in the evening, she scored her first-ever Grammy trophy for best pop solo performance. The award was presented to her by R&B diva Mariah Carey; Cyrus requested Carey stay on stage as she breathed in the moment, noting that she almost missed it due to being stuck in traffic out in the torrential downpour.

When it was her turn to sing, Cyrus was confident and sassy, calling out the audience, saying they shouldn’t be acting like they didn’t know all the words. They began to sing and clap along more as Cyrus delivered on that stage. She switched up the words to the song a bit, making a strong point on lines like “I didn’t wanna fight,” adding “But we did.” She ended by dropping the mic and simply walking away.

Though she’s said more recently that she’s not interested in touring, after this Grammy performance, I’m sure music fans are hoping she changes her mind.
