UPDATED:

Three weeks after McDonald’s shook up the fast food world with its $5 Meal Deal, the chain has come up with three more limited-time offers.

One of them is a collaboration with the anime series “Jujutsu Kaisen.” It’s called Special Grade Garlic Sauce, and it’s sold with 10-piece Chicken McNuggets exclusively through the McDonald’s app. The condiment is adapted from Black Garlic Sauce from McDonald’s Japan and contains garlic and soy sauce with a slight tangy sweetness, according to a news release.

The sauce comes in black containers with lids featuring a tiny image of one of eight “Jujutsu Kaisen” characters.

Each purchase includes a 30-day free trial of Crunchyroll, an anime platform, the news release said.

This partnership follows a similar one with the manga series “Cat’s Eye” in late February. In addition to hot sauce packets, that promotion included an immersive experience in West Hollywood.

When Special Grade Garlic Sauce launched on Tuesday, July 9, comments on McDonald’s Facebook post suggested a lot of people were having trouble with the app and couldn’t get it at their local restaurants. I tried myself and couldn’t order it at the franchise a mile from my house or other nearby locations. The option to select the garlic sauce didn’t show up along with the other condiments.

After surfing half a dozen locations, I got lucky with an outlet in a Walmart Supercenter 9 miles and 14 minutes away. The cost was $5.59 plus tax and included two garlic packets with different characters on their lids. A meal with fries and a drink costs $9.79.

It was easier to find through the app on Wednesday.

McDonald’s other new limited time offers include the return of the Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder with Cheese, which came back Wednesday and according to the app appears to be currently unavailable at my preferred McDonald’s. It features barbecue sauce and  costs $8.49, or $9.49 for a double. Meals go for $12.59 and $13.69.

Finally, there’s a new Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry, which debuted Monday. It features strawberry and banana flavors mixed with Kit Kat pieces in vanilla soft serve, according to McDonald’s website. The cost is around $4.49.
