Under Peter’s leadership, OGC aims to collaborate with new and existing partners to deliver accelerated, practical, and implementable solutions for our community.

OGC’s 130th Member Meeting is scheduled. Join us in Goyang, where we will continue to connect locations, show why standards matter, and share how interoperable technologies are crucial to sharing geospatial information. This one-week event, filled with technology showcases, dozens of Working Group meetings to improve standards and domains, special sessions, workshops, and keynotes, will show the value of the consortium’s community of experts. The OGC Collaborative Innovations and Solutions program will also be in attendance sharing the latest concepts in climate, space, aviation, and more: all powered by our community.

Innovation Days DC is the premier annual Open Geospatial Consortium meeting in Washington, DC. The theme of the 2024 meeting is Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) Futures. Through as series of presentations, panel discussions, and collaborative activities, participants will have the opportunity to: Gain insights into OGC Standards-driven geospatial technologies for performant, scalable SDIs Collaborate with a diverse community geospatial experts Network with leaders and technologists from government, industry, and academia Innovation Days DC will begin with an opening keynote by Josh Delmonico, Executive Director for the Federal Geographic Data Committee. This talk will set the stage for a panel discussion of the future of SDIs. Next, a series of lightning talks will cover critical uses of geospatial data, including climate impact, smart cities, and open science. The first day will conclude with a roundtable collaboration, giving participants the opportunity to identify challenges and opportunities associated with migrating spatial data to the cloud. The second day will begin with a keynote, followed by a panel exploring how AI can enhance the reliability and usability of spatial data through integrity, provenance, and trust. A dedicated roundtable on AI in Geo applications and outcomes offers practical insights into applying AI within SDIs. The third day is reserved for an invite-only meeting of the OGC Strategic Member Advisory Committee. Each Innovation Days DC session advances the OGC vision of building the future of location with community and technology for the good of society. The 12th International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics

The 12th International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics is organized and hosted by the International Society of Agromatics and BioSense Insitute with technical and financial sponsorships from IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society, Food and Agriculture Organization, Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), Agricultural and Environmental Informatics Application and Research Center (TARBİL), and Center for Spatial Information Science and Systems (CSISS) of George Mason University. 12th International FIG Workshop on the Land Administration Domain Model & 3D Land Administration

The 12th International FIG Workshop on the Land Administration Domain Model & 3D Land Administration will take place in Kuching, Malaysia, 24-26 September 2024. It will be a joint event together with Geoinformation Week 2024 (including Exhibition from vendors), FIG Commission 5 (Positioning and Measurement) Annual Meeting, FIG Commission 7 (Cadastre and Land Management) Annual Meeting, UN Habitat Social Tenure Doman Model (STDM) FIG Workshop on the Land Administration Domain Model & 3D Land Administration The team of local organizers consists of the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM), the Sarawak Land and Survey Deptartment (JTS), and the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) Sarawak Branch. Workshop purpose: The workshop aims to bring together experts from the industry, government, and academia, to present and discuss LADM and/or 3D LA related developments including live demonstrations of LADM implementations (operational systems, pilots, prototypes). The workshop will also cover informal or customary rights (, restrictions, resposibilities) as exiting in many countries, next to the more formal rights that are being registered. UN-Habitat is using the LADM specialization STDM (Social Tenure Domain Model) in 17 countries to register these informal/customary rights. Also, UN-FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization)'s SOLA (Solutions for Open Land Administration)/Open Tenure and USAID's MAST (Mobile Applications to Secure Tenure) infomation models are all based on LADM. Speakers who want to share their experiences on implementation are cordially invited to participate. This workshop will provide solid input to the "Implementation" part of Edition II of LADM, to be developed in collaboration with OGC. The workshop should enable making important choices, such as the technical encodings. Deadline for the submission of a 500 -1000 words extended abstracts is 1 June 2024 (and when accepted a full paper by 15 August 2024).
