Rutgers will be without another member of the backcourt for the remainder of the summer.

On Friday, the team announced that Tyson Acuff will miss the remainder of summer practices with a fractured right foot. He is expected to be sidelined for three months.

“Graduate student guard Tyson Acuff fractured his right foot in practice earlier this week,” the team announced. “He is expected to miss 3 months of basketball activities and we anticipate his return for the start of the 2024-25 season.”

Rutgers is without Dylan Harper as well, who is missing time after what was called a “voluntary procedure” on his right knee.

The backcourt for Rutgers will be thin this summer. Jeremiah Williams and Jamichael Davis are the lone options, along with transfer Jordan Derkack. This will also give PJ Hayes a chance to move around in the lineup.

Both Acuff and Harper are expected to return prior to the start of the regular season.
