Orlando Health, a private, not-for-profit healthcare organization, has announced an agreement to purchase Tenet Healthcare’s majority ownership interest in Brookwood Baptist Health in Birmingham, Alabama.

Brookwood Baptist Health has five hospitals across Central Alabama and has been a vital part of this region for more than a century. Baptist Health System will remain a partner and Brookwood Baptist Health will continue to be a faith-based organization.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with physicians, team members and the community to make Brookwood Baptist Health the best healthcare system in Alabama. We look forward to welcoming the Central Alabama team to Orlando Health's vibrant and growing network of care this fall.
