Dr. Cristian Del Carpio is a quadruple-board-certified cardiologist with the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. He has a special interest in coronary artery disease and microvascular disease therapies, multi-modality treatment of dyslipidemia for prevention of vascular conditions, chronic heart failure management and peripheral vascular disease diagnosis and management. He treats a variety of illnesses related to the heart and blood vessels, including:

  • Coronary artery disease and microvascular disease

Dr. Del Carpio’s Training

Dr. Del Carpio received his medical training from San Martin de Porres University School of Medicine in Lima, Peru. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a cardiology fellowship at The State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Dr. Del Carpio completed a heart failure fellowship at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut, which is affiliated with the University of Connecticut. He has 10 years of experience managing cardiovascular conditions.

About Del Carpio

Dr. Del Carpio is board-certified in internal medicine and general cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is certified in echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography and in nuclear cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Del Carpio is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American College of Physicians, Medical Society of the State of New York, Peruvian College of Medicine and Capital Medical Society.

His work has appeared in peer-reviewed publications, and he is participating in ongoing research studies.

Outside of work, Dr. Del Carpio enjoys traveling, scale modeling, remote-controlled vehicles, swimming and spending time with his family. He is also a professor at Florida State University. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
