Bio
Dr. Daniel Kitner is a board-certified physician specializing in obesity and internal medicine with the Orlando Health Weight Loss and Bariatric Institute. He specializes in treating:
- Overweight patients and obesity
- Prediabetes and diabetes
- Hypertension
- Food intolerance
- Menopause-related symptoms
- Female and male hormone replacement therapy
- Small skin procedures (shaves and cryotherapy)
- Hyperlipidemia
- Depression and anxiety
- Thyroid disorders

Dr. Kitner joined Orlando Health in 2022 as an internal medicine physician. He has been practicing medicine for more than two decades and also has extensive experience in preventive and geriatric medicine.
He treats every patient as if they were family and takes a genuine interest in providing the best care experience.
Dr. Kitner’s Training
Dr. Kitner received his medical training from the Federal University of Pernambuco in Recife, Brazil. He completed his internal medicine residencies at the university's Hospital das Clínicas and in Central Florida.
About Dr. Kitner
Dr. Kitner is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in obesity medicine by the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
He has lectured dozens of times for medical congresses and conferences on topics that include arterial hypertension in the elderly, antiaging therapies and the role of vitamins, the use of probiotics and longevity medicine.
Dr. Kitner has presented or published dozens of scientific studies on subjects such as abdominal hernias, colorectal tumors and thrombosis. He is the author of three books — one about geriatrics and two on internal medicine — and has contributed chapters to several other books on subjects such as depression, geriatrics and gerontology, and preventing AIDS.
Outside of work, Dr. Kitner enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, jogging, playing tennis, reading and going to the beach.
He is fluent in both English and Portuguese.
