Jami-Leigh Furo, 17, was awarded the Alonzo Rollins Scholarship and a Bright Futures scholarship, which will allow her to attend Rollins College with tuition paid in full.

Jami-Leigh, a senior at Lake Brantley High School, plans to major in music. A member of the Lake Brantley Marching Patriots, she also teaches piano privately. Her parents are Stephen and Diane Furo of Longwood.

Adam Smith, 20, of Sanford, was promoted to Navy petty officer. He graduated in 2001 from Adult High School at Seminole Community College and is stationed on board the USS Kitty Hawk in Japan. Smith is the son of Susie Smith of Sanford and Daniel Smith of Orlando.

Bryan Alan Stout, 18, was awarded a $10,000 scholarship by the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., in association with Time magazine. Bryan won the scholarship based on an essay he wrote about his plans to pursue a career in the automotive industry.

A senior at West Orange High School, he is also enrolled at Mid-Florida Tech where he receives on-the-job training at an auto dealership. After graduating from high school, he plans to attend the Universal Technical Institute in Houston. He is the son of Carol and Mike Stout of Orlando.
