DAYTONA BEACH — After a scoreless first half, Crystal Bartholomew scored both of second-seeded Umatilla’s goals in the second half, and the Bulldogs edged top-seeded Father Lopez 2-1 in the Class 2A, District 4 girls soccer championship game. Bartholomew, a freshman, also contributed two goals in the semifinals on Wednesday. Goalkeeper Cheryl Thompson had four saves for Umatilla. The Bulldogs (20-3-1) took seven shots on goal, compared with five for Father Lopez. Both teams will advance to the playoffs, but the Green Wave will have to play on the road.
