American Realty & Development in Daytona Beach recently hired Mike Delaney as a marketing agent.

Delaney, a Kensington, Md., native, graduated from the University of Maryland in 1977 with a degree in business management. In 1999, when his family moved to Jacksonville, Delaney went into real estate.

He will work from the company’s Port Orange office at 4536 Clyde Morris Blvd.

MORGAN STANLEY

Derek Mears recently joined the DeLand office of Morgan Stanley as a financial adviser and certified financial planner practitioner.

He will work with Rick Rintz, a 23-year veteran, as a financial adviser and a vice president.

Mears, a DeLand native, worked for Fleischel/Raymond James Financial Services for more than three years.

He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and a master’s degree from Stetson University.

EDWARD JONES INVESTMENTS

Bradford J. Tallman, a Deltona financial planner for Edward Jones Investments, recently was promoted to regional leader for the company’s North-Central Florida region.

Tallman, who graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in business administration, formerly was a certified public accountant.

He also has an Accredited Assets Management Specialist designation from the College for Financial Planning.

Tallman will be responsible for Edward Jones’ regional branch offices.

His responsibilities include serving as a sales leader, assisting new representatives, visiting branch offices and keeping company officials apprised of the financial needs and concerns of the people in his region.
