Segraves will promote Osceola as a tourist destination specifically related to bass fishing. He may exhibit at consumer outdoor travel shows, participate in fishing tournaments and help with county special events.

In addition to his pay, Segraves will receive as much as $38,000 to buy a boat and all components if another sponsor cannot be found. Also, if he succeeds to the second round of tournaments for ESPN BassMasters, the county must pay an additional $5,000 in travel expenses.

The money for the contract and other perks will come from tourist development taxes, the five-cent tax levied on hotel bills.
