POINCIANA — Bodies will be flying at Poinciana Community Center next month — and it could become a regular occurrence.

The community center is the venue for “Madness Before the Mania,” a wrestling show March 2 featuring matches between wrestlers with names such as Deathrow Jethro and Barney Rumble. Also scheduled to be on hand are Mr. Technical Barry Horowitz, who has wrestled with the World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling, and former WCW wrestler Kid Romeo.

The event is the brainchild of promoter Les Allier of Orlando, who said he put on a show in Kissimmee in October that drew a crowd of 140.

Some of the proceeds will go to the community center, which also will benefit from concession-stand revenues.

“If it all goes well, I’ll be out here once every six months,” said Allier, 27, who has been wrestling for seven years and will climb in the ring as Bonez the Cutthroat.

Doors open at 1 p.m., and matches start at 2 p.m. Advance tickets are $10 for adults and children 12 and older and $8 for children 5 to 11. Add $2 on the day of the show.

For more information, call 863-427-3417 or 407-758-1045. The community center is at 397 Marigold Ave.
