UCF’s second spring-football practice was postponed Monday as a result of steady overnight rains that left the field too soggy for use. Because the team is limited to 15 spring practices, the Golden Knights will make up the session Friday. UCF returns to the field Wednesday at 8:20 a.m. for a workout in shorts and helmets. UCF’s first practice in full gear was scheduled for that day but will now be conducted Friday.
ROLLINS TIED FOR LEAD AT MATLOCK COLLEGIATE CLASSIC
The Rollins College men’s golf team is tied for the lead after two rounds of Matlock Collegiate Classic at Grasslands Country Club in Lakeland. Rollins and Miami (Ohio) each has a two-day total of 578. The Tars’ Lee Stroever is tied for sixth individually with a total of 142, and Alex Smith stands in 11th place at 143.
