Regarding Gene McConnell’s letter to the editor in Saturday’s Sentinel, in which he bemoans the “politicization” of Katrina: Why is it that whenever anyone questions the oft-questionable actions of this administration, it’s called politicization? Is it possible that the incumbent is wrong?

In my opinion, he’s wrong most of the time, and it has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with purpose, intelligence, humanity, compassion and perspective.

After the rampant, vile, unfair and endless politicization of every move Bill Clinton made, public or very private, I don’t think conservatives even have the right to complain.

They made the rules.
