Robberies
French Avenue, 1900 block, 3:44 a.m. Sept. 21. A gas station attendant told police he was assaulted by a man tying to steal cartons of cigarettes. The man eventually fled the scene.
French Avenue, 1900 block, 9:45 p.m. Sept. 20. A man told police he was robbed of $300 by an armed man who pulled up beside him at a gas pump.
Sanford Avenue, 200 block, 11:20 a.m. Sept. 21. An employee of a sub shop told police a man who indicated he was armed demanded money from the cash register and took $41.

Tall Pine Trail, Geneva area, 11:30 a.m. to 2:19 p.m. Sept. 21. Generator, log-splitter, other tools, propane heater, video game system, 1964 Coke machine, knives, binoculars, numerous shotguns and rifles, a bayonet and a weather radio were stolen from a residence. The gate to the property was rammed, and French doors pried open.
