Some good may come of the turmoil and investigations around inappropriate e-mails attributed to Mark Foley.
If underage boys or girls have been left vulnerable to these advances and others within the shelter of Congress, the system needs to be fixed without partisan debate.
People who seek intimate relationships with vulnerable, weaker people are predators. They are usually heterosexual.
A person who seeks intimate relationships with underage people is a pedophile. I am not aware of any data that support the assumption that a pedophile is necessarily gay.
This is a good opportunity to separate assumptions from knowledge.
