ABOUT MIAMI: The Hurricanes have had 13 players suspended for this one, but it shouldn’t matter. The offense, as usual, is going to struggle, but the defense should be able to shut down a punchless Blue Devils offense. If UM QB Kyle Wright doesn’t have a big game today, it may be time to stop thinking he’s going to have a breakout game this season.
ABOUT DUKE: True freshman QB Thaddeus Lewis (Hialeah-Miami Lakes) is going to be facing the best defense he has seen this season; it would help his cause if there’s a modicum of a ground game. Alas, that seems unlikely. The defense has some talented players, most notably CB John Talley (15 career picks), T Vince Oghobaase and LB Michael Tauiliili.
