Florida rejects some social studies books, forces ‘Take a Knee’ out of one

The Florida Education Department said Tuesday it rejected 35% of the social studies textbooks publishers wanted to sell to public schools because they included inappropriate topics such as social justice or failed to meet Florida's new academic standards.

The Florida Department of Education nixed 35% of the social studies books submitted, rejecting ones with errors or "ideological rhetoric."
