UPDATED:

As fans count down the days until the start of Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights, the park is unveiling “Insidious: The Further,” the latest haunted house to join the lineup.

Guests are invited to travel into a dimension with “tortured souls” and “demonic entities” in an experience themed after Blumhouse’s “Insidious” film franchise. The storyline focuses on the Lamberts, a couple whose son slips into a comatose state after becoming possessed by an evil spirit.

Inside the house, HHN visitors will be transported into “The Further,” a place where ghosts and demons are waiting to steal the souls of unsuspecting humans. While traveling from red door to red door, fans will encounter the Red-Faced Demon, KeyFace, the Bride in Black and the spirit of the Man Who Can’t Breathe.

“Insidious” first appeared at Orlando’s HHN in 2015, the event’s 25th year. The 2024 house will also haunt the California version of the event at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Halloween Horror Nights adds ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’ house

Previously announced haunted houses for Orlando’s HHN include “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire;” Slaughter Sinema 2; Goblin’s Feast; Major Sweets Candy Factory; The Museum: Deadly Exhibit; Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America; Triplets of Terror; and a maze based on the films of “A Quiet Place” franchise. The event will feature 10 houses and five scare zones. HHN33 officially debuts Aug. 30.

Frequent Fear and Rush of Fear Passes are now on sale along with single-night tickets and event upgrades at universalorlando.com.
