Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2022-23: Vote 1 under Canadian High Arctic Research Station, Votes 1, 5, 10 and L15 under Department of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs and Votes 1, 5 and 10 under Department of Indigenous Services, referred to the committee on Tuesday, March 1, 2022; and

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee commenced its study of the subject matter of Supplementary Estimates (C), 2021-22: Votes 1c and 10c under Department of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs and Votes 1c and 10c under Department of Indigenous Services.


The Chair called Vote 1 under Canadian High Arctic Research Station.

Minister Hajdu made a statement and, with Christiane Fox, Joanne Wilkinson and Philippe Thompson, answered questions.

At 1:30 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:32 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

At 2:02 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 2:06 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Ministers Vandal and Miller made statements and, with Daniel Quan-Watson and Paula Isaak, answered questions.

By unanimous consent, the Chair called Vote 1 under Canadian High Arctic Research Station, Votes 1, 5, 10 and L15 under Department of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs and Votes 1, 5 and 10 under Department of Indigenous Services.
