Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2023-24: Vote 1 under House of Commons, Vote 1 under Leaders' Debates Commission, Vote 1 under Office of the Chief Electoral Officer and Vote 1 under Parliamentary Protective Service, referred to the committee on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

The Chair called Vote 1 under House of Commons.

Hon. Anthony Rota made a statement, and with Eric Janse, Patrick McDonell, Michel Patrice, Stéphan Aubé, Paul St George, Larry Brookson, Éric Savard, and Robyn Daigle, answered questions.

At 12:00 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:02 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The Minister made a statement and, with Allen Sutherland, answered questions.

At 1:03 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
