The Panthers initiative to bring high school girls flag football across North Carolina gets a huge boost, as Wake County's inaugural season kicks off

Carolina Panthers Charities is providing $60,000 in program funding and resources to support the success of the program.

The Panthers hosted the inaugural Girls High School Flag Football Jamboree on Saturday, Oct. 30. Five local high schools – Charlotte Catholic, Hough, Nation Ford, Northwestern and South Pointe – competed in a tournament format in an event designed to provide female student-athletes with high levels of competition in this fast-growing sport.
