Kimberly Nguyen, DPM

Dr. Kimberly Nguyen practices Podiatry in the wonderful Greater Philadelphia area.  She wanted to practice medicine in a place where she could treat a variety of patients from different backgrounds with different needs.  Dr. Nguyen has a passion to keep her patients active, returning back to their normal activities as quickly as humanly possible and to go back to doing what they enjoy.  She also likes to educate patient on their conditions so they can understand not only how to fix their issue but also preventing it from recurring.

Dr. Nguyen was born and raised in Texas.  Dr. Nguyen attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas for her undergraduate degree where she graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Science.  Dr. Nguyen felt her calling to become a foot and ankle specialist while she was shadowing an anesthesiologist in her undergraduate years.  Even though she had been seen a podiatrist as a child for custom orthotics annually, she did not realize the full scope of podiatry until she became an adult.  She received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medical from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.  Using the knowledge she gained in medical school, Dr. Nguyen completed her post-graduate training at a Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program in Camden, NJ at Cooper University Hospital, a level I trauma hospital.  Dr. Nguyen is currently a Board Certified Associate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.  She also has obtained her Physician Wound Care Certification by the American Board of Wound Healing making her a fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association. Her knowledge as a foot and ankle specialist allows Dr. Nguyen to see patients of all varieties and with a wide array of ailments.

As a well-trained and fully qualified podiatrist, Dr. Nguyen is able to treat a large variety of foot and ankle concerns.  Dr. Nguyen loves helping people clear their fungal toenails and athlete’s foot.  This is a common foot condition that causes people to be embarrassed or self-conscious.  At our 2 office locations, we offer more than one FDA approved laser for toenail fungus treatment as well as offer cosmetic keryflex applications to cover up damaged toenails.  She loves working with athletes and strives to make their recovery time as short as possible.  We are able to 3D scan or plaster cast people for custom orthotics.  Her surgical experiences and certifications allows her to perform a multitude of reconstructive foot and ankle procedures, particularly for bunions, hammertoes, flat feet, arthritis, and joint pain.  She also has a lot of experience with other dermatological conditions besides fungus such as ingrown toenails, plantar warts, rashes, etc.  We have modern state of the art equipment such as swift therapy and laser treatments for warts.  As fairly active person herself, she is also passionate about sports-related injuries to the lower limbs, including sprains, fractures, and various tendon issues.  That is why we also have a pain laser and shockwave therapy to help athletes and others recover and heal quickly.  Her medical experience makes her an expert in areas of diabetic foot care as well, which includes both wound care and limb-salvage surgery to avoid amputations.

When Dr. Nguyen is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Khai, children (Bella and Kenny) and their canine, Rocky (the maltipoo).  She likes to stay active and participates in yoga, working out at the gym, biking, hiking, swimming and skiing.  You can often find Dr. Nguyen and her husband enjoying the Great Outdoors and traveling in their free time.  Dr. Nguyen and her husband also share a passion for food.
