Eunice Love OBITUARY

Eunice Love passed away peacefully on July 30,2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born November 22, 1940, to Rev and Mrs. H.L. Webb in Louisville, KY. Eunice was a graduate of Florida State University with a BA degree in English and continued her education with a master’s in library science. Fittingly, she met the love of her life Richard, in the library. They were married 61 years and settled in Virginia Beach. Her father, the Rev H.L. Webb officiated at the wedding.

Eunice was a librarian in the Virginia Beach school system for 23 years at Bayside High School and finished her career at Green Run High School. She was known for her great style and elegance and modeled in her earlier years. She was a voracious reader, avid bridge player and dedicated shopper. Being a member of the Little Neck Garden Club, The King’s Daughters Circle and Kings Grant Baptist Church brought her much joy. Lifelong friends were made through her bridge group, and she continued to play online with this fun group of special ladies even through illness. Her sense of humor and her talent for story telling made her fun to be around. She enjoyed international travel and spending time with her family and friends locally as well as at her second home on Siesta Key in Sarasota, Florida.

Eunice is predeceased by her parents, Hubert and Margaret Webb; brother-in-law, David Love, and sister-in-law, Sherry Love. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Richard Love, two children Denise Love (John Stafford) and Chad Love, her devoted sister and best friend Lois Webb, her brother and sister-in-law Charles and Eva Webb, sister-in-law Sydney Love and cousins Allen and Karen Wilson.

A celebration of life will be held at Kings Grant Baptist Church on Friday, August 23 at 11:00am followed by a reception at the church.
