In 2002, In the movie "The Chamber of Secrets" based off of the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, we see a character that is similar to Medusa and her powers. These characters are similar because they both have snakes who can kill people by petrifying them in harry potter and turning them to stone for Medusa. The basilisk is similar to Medusa because it is a snake and if you look at it you either die or are petrified. Both creatures are very hard to defeat, but were defeated in their stories.
