Saira Mueller is the interim culture editor at Polygon, filling in for a few months. Normally, she’s a freelance journalist who is endlessly fascinated by the intersection of health and technology — and has written about it for CNN, Wired, Mashable, and Self.

Saira started her career in journalism over 12 years ago as a music reporter for MTV Australia before switching to the technology, games, and esports beats. She has a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University.

When Saira’s not delving into the latest tech trends, you can find her in New York City walking her dog through Central Park while listening to an audiobook, at a Broadway show, or hosting a board games night with friends.
