Catherine is a Clinical Psychologist and Board-Approved Supervisor. She has a compassionate and non-judgmental approach and works in a collaborative way to build trust and safety. She believes that developing a strong therapeutic relationship is central to a positive and helpful therapy experience. Catherine has experience in working with adolescents and adults in the areas of depression, anxiety, anger management, self-esteem, confidence building, unprocessed trauma and abuse, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, and addictions (substances, alcohol, and gambling).
Catherine obtained her Psychology qualification through Edith Cowan University. She has experience working in private practice and a background as a Clinical Psychologist with Corrective Services, addressing offending behaviours in prisons and the community.
Catherine has been trained in several evidence based therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and EMDR.
