I have received training from various schools of thought, including mindfulness-based (e.g., ACT), cognitive-behavioral (CBT), and interpersonal/emotion-focused (EFT). I take interest in staying up to date on the latest research in the field and deeply value the importance of critical thinking and continuing training.
I recognize the role of emotions and relationships to help people understand and work on their struggles. I can also integrate other perspectives to optimally address their needs and use their own learning style. My approach is both theoretically- and empirically-informed, as well as down-to-earth and practical.
