I’m Alicia a Clinical Psychologist in Newcastle. I have a special interest in working with people who have experienced trauma (single event and complex). I use a number of evidence-based therapies including Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I have over 10 years’ experience and working with adults with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, phobias, stress and self-esteem problems.
Our clinic also offers assessment and diagnosis of ADHD. Embarking on a diagnostic journey can be challenging and we try to support you through the process. Our high quality assessments aim to be comprehensive and provide meaningful information on how the diagnosis relates to any difficulties you are experiencing whilst also recognising your strengths.
I understand it can be daunting coming to see a psychologist and therefore I initially prioritise the therapeutic relationship. I create a warm, empathic space to try and help you feel at ease.
