Are you struggling to communicate as a family or maybe discussions often end up as arguments ? Perhaps there’s been a significant event recently, for one or all of you, that’s had a big impact and needs talking through together ? Ill health, either physical or mental health, can really affect everyone and when this becomes overwhelming it’s usually helpful to have someone external to the family to process it all with.

I am a trained and experienced therapist (25 years + working in mental health services). My main training is in Systemic Family Therapy and mostly I have worked with teenagers or young adults and their families. Family therapy can be any combination of family members, it does not have to be the whole family and can even be individual !

The idea of talking together about difficult or emotional issues can be daunting but my guess is that if you are reading this either you or your family already know this is the next step you need to take together. I can facilitate these conversations in a safe and effective way to try to move past the barriers to managing better as a family.
