By forming a safe and trusting relationship in therapy, we can see how past and existing connections unknowingly impact you and gain a deeper insight into your problems and a greater awareness of your own self and your way of relating. Discovering self can be scary and I strive to follow you at your own pace. Being a queer woman and a therapist with an ethnic minority background have deepened my understanding of isolation and marginalisation.
Thus I value, embrace and learn from my work with people from different backgrounds, and I am committed to working with difference and diversity within an ethos of anti-discriminatory practice, based on awareness of my own ethnicity and background and oppression. I have an LGBTQIA+ & neurodiversity affirmative approach to therapy.
I understand it is not easy to choose a therapist.
