Hi, I'm Candice. I'm a qualified and highly experienced Counsellor & Psychotherapist and final year Counselling Psychology Doctoral student. I offer skilled and compassionate therapy services centred around increasing your sense of agency, awareness and autonomy. I am most skilled in supporting individuals who have experienced childhood trauma. However, I am also skilled and experienced in supporting everyday challenges to complex and enduring difficulties using evidence based practises. My therapeutic approach is directed towards developing your awareness and self knowledge to facilitate your ability to accept or change and adapt.
In addition to working in private practice, I have 10yrs NHS experience and have worked in secure forensic mental health settings. While my special interest is in the Trauma Informed approach and trauma research; I have worked with a broad range of psychological issues such as Depression, Agoraphobia and Self Harm.
I feel strongly that at the heart of our therapeutic dynamic will be trust, safety, compassion and transparency.
