I am here to help you in a way that is collaborative and gives you control. I am a CBT and EMDR Therapist with special interests in OCD and perinatal mental health, helping people all over the country who have had unsuccessful therapy before. I also work with self-esteem and many other difficulties. Think about what you are finding tough right now, because we will make this our priority; we can explore any thoughts and emotions contributing to your difficulties and focus on reaching the goals you have. We will work with openness and honesty, gaining insight and making lasting positive changes to your emotional wellbeing together.

My aim as a therapist is to support you through difficulties with thoughts and emotions, and to help you to build skills you need to be your own therapist in the future. CBT and EMDR work, they have a strong evidence-base, so I use these approaches to help you to unpick difficulties and work towards feeling better within a safe and non-judgemental space.

I often use CBT, which starts by building an understanding what brought you to therapy, then we move on to building a joint picture of how the difficulties you have are maintained and where they came from, before planning and directly challenging these things together. I also use EMDR for some difficulties or as part of the sessions when appropriate, which we will discuss and plan for together.
