For many individuals, the decision to seek help with personal struggles through psychotherapy is an understandably daunting experience, and it can be difficult to know where to start. An essential part of this journey is finding a 'good fit' in terms of therapist. Although theoretical knowledge and clinical experience is important, it is the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist that remains central to the success of any therapeutic work. With this in mind, my therapeutic endeavours are always aimed at facilitating a genuine, honest and real engagement with my clients within and a safe confidential therapeutic space.
My approach to psychotherapy is largely influenced by existential, humanistic and psychodynamic schools of thought. As an integrative practitioner I draw upon a variety of different therapeutic approaches which are utilised flexibly, in accordance with your own subjective needs and experiences.
The focus of our work will be on your subjective experience, relational and emotional patterns, and the ways in which you engage with problems in living and life in general. Together we will explore your past experiences, your present situation and your future ambitions, in order to help you face your current struggles and find clarity in your situation.
