Trauma and its effects in human life are my field of interest in therapeutic work. Trauma means that something had overloaded us and we have not been able to process it by ourselves. To survive, we have been activated defence mechanisms: e.g. freezing, denial, intellectualisation but these difficult memories still work against us and disable us to develop.
I am a certified integrative psychotherapist which means I use many therapeutic approaches, especially psychodynamic therapy, elements of ISTDP, CBT, body work, and imagination work in psychotherapy. In addition, I am also a Brainspotting and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist - both to work with difficult, traumatic memories.
