Ling works to provide a trauma-informed, safe, and creative space for young people and adults to feel heard and accepted. Worrying situations in the present are most likely to have originated in past experiences, she works collaboratively with young people and their families to understand and process these experiences. Her goal is to help her clients understand and manage their difficult feelings and feel more empowered in their daily lives. Ling currently works in Specialist CAMHS (NHS) with under 18s who are adopted, in care, and young adults who have left the care system.
Ling is a HCPC registered Art Psychotherapist who specialises in child and adolescent mental health. Her training is underpinned by psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theory but offers a flexible approach to suit the young person’s needs. Areas of Psychotherapy that she works with include anger management, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and trauma.
