Hello. I'm Dr Rachel Attfield, an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist. I have experience in working with people with a range of psychological issues. For over 15 years, I have worked with people who are living with physical health conditions (including life limiting diagnoses). Such diagnoses can impact how someone feels emotionally and it can be important to think about the interaction between physical and mental health. In addition to this, I have experience working with a range of different presentations, including trauma, OCD , depression and people struggling to make the changes that they want in life.
I have worked in the NHS for nearly 20 years and as a qualified Clinical Psychologist for 15 years (working mainly with people aged 16 years +). I use a range of approaches (including CFT, ACT, CBT, EMDR and motivational interviewing). If we make an appointment, then we will tailor how we work to your individual needs.
