Sometimes we believe we are the only ones who feel and think the way we do. We can feel isolated and alone, trapped in a vicious circle of negative thoughts, feelings and emotions. This can make us feel we are not in control of our life and not living to our full potential. As an experienced Integrative Counsellor, I draw on different theories depending on what you would like to achieve and your individual needs. My name is Sue and I am an empathic, compassionate non judgemental Counsellor with experience of working with people of all different ages, cultures, genders, sexual orientation.
I am currently volunteering as a bereavement counsellor at a Hospice.

I have been volunteering as a bereavement counsellor in a Hospice. I have helped clients process the feelings and stages of grief. I help them begin to adapt to a life without their loved one. I have worked with clients struggling with depression, anxiety or trauma, delving into the issues at hand. It is wonderful to see a client's lifting of symptoms and showing sustained improvement.

I mainly use a person centred approach bringing in other approaches such as CBT and psychodynamic. During our first session we will explore what has brought you to therapy and we can then decide the best approach for you. You may need a space to talk about what is going on for you, you may want to explore your past or may need tools to deal with negative thoughts or feelings.
