I began my training as a Mental Health professional in 2006. My first MA was in Dramatherapy. In 2011 I completed a postgraduate certificate in Child psychotherapy. In 2012 I completed my second MA in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with first-class honors. I am also a trained EMDR therapist. My specialist interest is in supporting Women's Emotional Well - Being throughout the life span, with Fertility Issues and Reproductive trauma, in particular. As Women, we have complex biological needs and this all has an impact on our psychological well-being.
Depending on your presenting issues we work together to make a plan that best suits your needs. I can work with you in different ways; a solution focussed approach & short-term, long-term which will explore the psychoanalytic approach or using the trauma focussed intervention of EMDR.
As Women we are complex by nature, we go through many physical changes across the life span, from the onset of menses, through to menopause. The mind and the body are interconnected, and as women this is particularly relevant as we go through extensive hormonal fluctuations within each monthly cycle, which all have an impact on our mood and well-being.
