My name is Paul O Beirne. I am a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and a member of COSRT (College of Sex and Relationship Therapists). My aim as a therapist is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space to enable adults and those in intimate partner relationships to be curious, explore, and develop awareness that can lead to positive personal and relational growth. The purpose of therapy is to welcome in all experiences, feelings and aspects of you that may not have a voice in everyday life and journey compassionately with them together. You do you; because everyone else is taken.
I understand it can be difficult and at times traumatic navigating through life within an environment that is at odds with who and how you are. This can lead to issues such as low self confidence, anxiety, depression, substance misuse as well as feelings of fear and isolation.
Any individual that is perceived as being different in this world can suffer distress. Journeying towards individuality is a step away from the collective norm. U do U Therapy recognizes and validates the diversity and difference within our society and enables clients to embrace and celebrate their difference.
