Individuals and couples who come into therapy are often experiencing some struggle in their life. In therapy with you, my goal is to address these immediate concerns, explore with you how they may stem from longer-term unmet concerns, and work with you toward more effective management and if possible, resolution. With advanced training from the William Alanson White Institute for Psychoanalysis, my clinical orientation is psychodynamic and interpersonal, and we will also use other therapies including Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral for an eclectic, rounded treatment approach.
My clinical focuses have been on managing relationship and communication difficulties, sex and sexuality, anxiety and depression; coping with stress; parenting and child development; and improving interpersonal relations.
Clinical orientation and specific areas of concern aside, quality of life is my principal focus in supporting your goals. It's my hope that in the relationship we forge in therapy, you develop tools and confidence to improve your relationships with yourself, the people in your life, and the things in life that give your life meaning.
