Life can be extremely difficult to navigate at times, especially when going through major life transitions. I work with adults and adolescents experiencing family conflict, depression, anxiety, stress-related issues, Grief and Loss, communication challenges, self-esteem issues. I am equipped with techniques that promote both verbal and non-verbal expressions in a therapeutic manner rather than stigmatizing. As a Substance Abuse Profesionnal (SAP) evaluate employees who have violated DOT drug and alcohol regulation and make recommendations education, treatment , continuing care, referrals for treatment, and follow-up testing.
Therapy is based on shared values plus a shared vision to empower and uplift clients by the use of creative and developmentally appropriate techniques for assisting in thought, behaviors, and feelings in non-traditional ways. The purpose of a therapist is to support, suggest, and assist as needed. I believe each person is the expert of their own life.
Many people struggle with overwhelming emotions as if the knob is turned to maximum volume on their emotions. If you are faced with overwhelming emotions in life, you know that you do not want to get swept away by your emotions. Therapy will be extraordinarily effective at helping one manage the overwhelming emotions brought on by anxiety and worry.
