My counseling philosophy is rooted in the idea that all humans have the ability to grow and heal. No human being is broken, and most mental health struggles stem, in part, from difficult external circumstances, like a traumatic past or a flawed culture. Through active listening, reflection, and gentle challenging, I help you become better acquainted with yourself, so that you can live in closer alignment with your values. I specialize in working with eating disorders and body image distress, but I also work with anxiety, depression, relationship and family struggles.
I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities depending on the client, though I most often use Humanistic and Person-Centered Therapies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Somatic Therapy and mindfulness practices. In working with eating disorders, my perspective is informed by the “Health at Every Size” and “Intuitive Eating” movements.
Above all else, I strive to show up authentically and humanly. I recognize that as a fellow human being, I have flaws, misperceptions and unconscious biases. I encourage clients to question and challenge me, when needed. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow alongside my clients.

This free peer support group runs from 6-7PM every Tuesday on Zoom. It's for folks 18+ of all genders. It's for all ED diagnoses (Binge Eating, OSFED, Bulimia, Anorexia, etc.). It's also open to folks who do not have a diagnosis, but who struggle with food and/or body image. It is a time to share information and get support in an educational format from other people who have similar struggles. Members can attend whenever their schedule allows. Please message me to get started.
