My counseling approach is to foster authentic relationships and an environment where clients feel safe and comfortable sharing. Counseling is a partnership to help you identify, understand, and overcome the hurdles that life has given you. For clients who are experiencing grief, I am a specialist in grief and unresolved (complicated) grief.
I am a LPC-A. I possess a PhD in Psychology from Walden University and MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I have three books published. My writing and insight into psychological issues, parenting, and child development earned the award of Top Writer for LifeHack.org (a top 5 self-help website worldwide) in 2018.
My goal is to help clients heal, progress, and become the best versions of themselves. I want to partner with clients to help them overcome life's hurdles, whether help is needed short or long-term. A Christian counseling approach is utilized with Christian clients, but only to the extent of the client's preferences, as discussed at the onset of therapy.
