I have been a therapist with 29 years experience. I feel that I am "seasoned" and not old. Never feel that any issue is too small or not relevant, if it is bothering you, it is something we can process together. I listen to what is happening and together we can work together to process and be able to move forward. We can navigate life's challenges together, and find alternate ways of handling these issues. Communication is key in any relationship. I have experience with techniques like CBT, mindfulness that can help you understand and manage your emotions effectively.

My approach is aimed to support individuals where they are and assist them to effectively move through this phase of life in a healthy way. Together we will create a space of trust to build a therapeutic relationship that promotes healing and growth. My overall goal for individuals to be themselves and feel comfortable reaching their therapeutic goals.

As a Caribbean female who has resided in Trinidad & Tobago, Canada, and America, I have a deep respect for individuals regardless of their culture and ethnicity, age and gender, and religious and sexual preference. Therapeutically, I work to help individuals learn more about themselves within their unique situation; I empower people to choose their path and to live in a way that is rewarding for them.

I am passionate about helping adolescents, young adults, adults and their family's hearts heal. I utilize traditional evidence-based therapy, as well as creative interventions, to facilitate the healing process for each individual that walks through my door. I'm well-versed in evidence based practices, and believe in the healing power of creative therapies including: psychodrama, play therapy and art therapy interventions. I am an EMDR certified therapist.

I am clinically trained to work with individuals experiencing a variety of different issues, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD and men's issues. During the therapeutic process we explore thoughts and behaviors that impact the client's mood, lifestyle, and help develop appropriate skills to improve daily experiences.

I am a Licensed Psychologist with expertise in Pediatric Neuropsychology and Behavioral Medicine. I work with pediatric patients and young adults with long COVID, TBI/concussions, spinal cord injury, epilepsy, brain tumors, arteriovenous malformation bleeds/strokes, demyelinating diseases, cancer, transplant recipients, general medical conditions and genetic disorders affecting the nervous system. I also specialize in neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism spectrum (children and adults), developmental and learning disorders, attention-deficit and disruptive behavior disorders, comorbid anxiety, and mood disorders.

I believe that we can have a great working partnership to help with completing goals. I have worked with many different populations including young people, young adults, older adults, and couples.

We treat adults, teens, couples, and families seeking relief from depression, anxiety, grief, addiction, and mood disorders. I am a Licensed Psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst with expertise in clinical psychology, neuropsychology, behavioral medicine, and applied behavior analysis. My combined experience has contributed positively to my diagnostic and treatment skills; particularly in the areas of autism, dementia, health-related psychological conditions, depression, anxiety, employment/academic problems, grief, parenting issues, attention/memory problems, adolescent-parent conflicts, divorce, etc. I treat people of all ages.

I am a dedicated mental health therapist with a focus on providing compassionate care to individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, personality disorders, suicidal ideations and substance abuse. I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 35 years of experience working primarily with adults. I received my Masters Degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1980. Since then I have worked at an in-patient unit, a community mental health center, a university research and training center, and at a Veteran Affairs hospital. My background also includes graduate teaching and clinical research. I believe that is is imperative to develop a strong therapeutic relationship in which clients feel supported and safe as they seek to address their mental health challenges.
