I specialize in behavioral and addiction issues, with a particular focus on issues of identity and identity expression. To do this, I use a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
I received my PhD in social work from the University of Southern California and my masters in social work and public health from Columbia University. As a faculty member in the Department of Social Welfare at UCLA, I develop and test mental health and substance abuse interventions for diverse populations.
